Follow The Directions

01

Step

Position an oven rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat the broiler to 475°F (245°C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and extra-crispy. (10-12 minutes). Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.

03

Step

Place bread slices on a baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil using a pastry brush. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Toast in the preheated broiler until golden brown and crispy, without flipping, watching carefully to prevent burning. (About 4 minutes). Remove from oven and set aside.

05

Step

Heat remaining olive oil and butter in the same large skillet over medium-high heat. (2 minutes) Season salmon fillets with sea salt. Place salmon skin-side down in the hot skillet and cook until the skin is crispy and the salmon is nearly cooked through. (About 6 minutes) Flip and cook until the top sides are just browned. (2-3 minutes) Remove salmon from skillet. Discard the skin (optional) and sprinkle with seasoned salt.

06

Step

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the untoasted side of each bread slice. Top each with 1 salmon fillet, 1 tablespoon pesto, 2 lettuce leaves, 2 tomato slices, 2 slices bacon, and 1 slice Havarti cheese. Finish with the remaining bread slice, untoasted-side down. (5 minutes)

For an extra touch of flavor, consider adding a thin layer of balsamic glaze to the sandwich.
If you prefer, you can grill the salmon instead of pan-searing it.
Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
Make sure to watch the bread closely while broiling to prevent burning.
